DISASTER DEBRIS MONITORING

Mordecai Disaster Recovery Consultants utilizes our knowledge and expertise of the FEMA Public Assistance Program to provide our clients with professional disaster debris monitoring services. Disaster debris monitoring, along with the associated documentation and Project Worksheets, is one of the more complicated aspects of the FEMA Public Assistance Program.

Debris removal and disposal operations account for approximately 15% of total disaster recovery costs, therefore, failure to properly monitor these operations may put applicants at risk of losing hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of dollars in grant funding. FEMA requires applicants to monitor their debris contractors to ensure eligibility and accurate amounts. Mordecai Disaster Recovery Consultants provides this service to our clients in order to maximize the amount of federal assistance funding and to expedite the obligation of those funds to the benefit of our clients.

We coordinate with our clients to determine their individual needs and typically provide the following debris monitoring services:

  •       Monitor the work progress of debris contractors
  •       Monitor debris contractors to ensure compliance with contracts
  •       Document removed debris to ensure eligibility
  •       Assemble all documentation data into a usable format for clients and FEMA
  •       Prepare Project Worksheets
  •       Address environmental considerations
